Paul states in I Timothy 2:1, 2, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." We desire to fulfill this command by inviting elected officials to a Patriot Prayer Meeting to share their burden with us, and for us to pray for them. Please join us as we pray for our elected officials. This meeting, we welcome Craven County Commissioner George Liner.
Commissioner Liner was first elected to the Craven County Board of Commissioners in 2014, after serving as a member of the Havelock Board of Commissioners. Following a 30 year career with the U.S. Marine Corps, he served as a civilian employee for 15 years, retiring in 2007. He is a member of Cherry Point Fellowship Church, and his organizational and community affiliations include the American Legion, VFW, Disabled American Veterans, Friends of Havelock Library and Havelock Senior Citizens. He also serves on the Board of Directors of NC Coastal Land Trust.
