Paul states in I Timothy 2:1, 2, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." We desire to fulfill this command by inviting elected officials to a Patriot Prayer Meeting to share their burden with us, and for us to pray for them. Please join us as we pray for our elected officials. This meeting, we welcome Havelock City Commissioner Karen Lewis.
Karen D. Lewis was re-elected to a four year term to the Havelock Board of Commissioners in 2015. Her goal is to provide much needed commercial and residential growth to the area. Karen would like to ensure that citizen tax dollars are being spent wisely and making Havelock a place to call home and raise our children.
Karen came to Havelock in 1981, when her husband received orders to Cherry Point.
Commissioner Lewis is currently appointed as the Board of Commissioners representative to the Volunteer Fire/Rescue Committee, Local Firemen’s Relief Fund, and the Military Affairs Committee.
